hullo. i’m brittany. some people call me “b”.
i’m a writer and copy editor, and my work has appeared in various mainstream and fringe publications including Bitch and make/shift. i’m also part of the Feminist Review editorial collective. you can find a very short and incomplete list of clips here. i am currently working on my first zine.
mostly unrelated, i like and have worked with tiny video, usually of the online variety, for several years. i teach web video basics to non-techie folks on a budget, both in schools and at conferences, and i help like-minded radical activists build websites that work for them.
a handful of folks are excited to learn i received concurrent bachelor’s degrees in communication, women’s studies, and psychology, and that i have a master’s degree in media arts. these days, i like the term “recovering academic.”
my partner andreas and i currently split our time between copenhagen, denmark and the united states. when i’m not writing and consulting, i might be on the road. you can find out more about my conference plans and previous engagements here.
